General Information:
- Name: Shelby
- Breed: Arabian x thoroughbred x boerperd
- Age: 8 – 9 years
- Gender: Female/Mare
- Height: 15.2h
- Colour: Brown (almost black coat with lighter brown highlights on the muzzle, the flanks and inside the legs, black mane and tail.)
- Markings: Star on forehead, pastern on forelock and ermine spots.
Rider Suitability:
- Confident rider as she can be busy under saddle.
- Preferably a light rider.
- Not a suitable horse for children as of yet, but not a danger either.
Education:
- Broken and trained, but no specific discipline.
- Will be good in the arena, dressage and jumping.
- Was used as a pleasure horse on hacks.
- Lunges very well and is soft to demands.
About the horse - Strengths:
- Easy to catch and tack with pleasant personality.
- She does not kick or bite.
- Very good stable manners.
- Submissive toward other horses and does not fight, easily adaptable.
- She is a bonding horse and a good doer with the will to please.
About the horse - Weaknesses:
- Shy with strangers.
- Nervous horse which needs a good leader, can also be cocky and challenging.
- Needs a well fitted saddle.
- Not fond of water or loading, but overcomes any obstacle with a bit of patience.
